    Ravana Ella Falls is One of the most attractive waterfalls in Sri Lanka. It situated in the hill country. The hill country of Sri Lanka is most famous for waterfalls. Ravana Ella Falls gets the Highest place from that. It is a very impressive waterfall, and you can get a closer look of it from climbing some rocks. If you are a water lover or you love to spend a splashing time Ravana Ella Falls is the best place. You can enjoy water, playing, swimming but you should careful yourself because the area is slippery. Specially at rainy times, you should refrain from swimming.

    Ravana Ella Fallsis identified as one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka. This approximately 25m in height. Ravana falls cascade from an oval-shaped concave rock outcrop. In the rainy season waterfall turns in to speedy flow, but in the dry season, it will reduce dramatically.

    This Ravana fall located 06 km away from Ella Railway Station. Otherwise, you can get a bus heading to wellawaya. It is not difficult to find the place of Ravana fall.

    This water falls gets the name as “Ravana Ella Falls” after the legendary character of King Ravana. He is connected to the world-famous Indian story “The Ramayanaya”. King Ravana gets a main place in Sri Lankan history also. According to that story, the Ravana has kidnaped the Seetha & had hidden princes Seetha in the caves behind the waterfalls. That’s why the waterfall named Ravana Ella Falls.
